I had a bunch of stuff to get out of the shop for NAMM so now that it's over I finally took a little time to work on guitar #3 the Winter Guitar. Here are a few photos of the inlay so far... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Bill, Standing ovation! ![]() ![]() ![]() You have matched the beauty of your autumn guitar - not as easy feat! I know each of us sees beauty our own way, but to my eyes, your Autumn and Winter guitars are artistic masterworks! I wish I had your artistic sensibility and talent, and I'm truly inspired by your work. Dennis |

Bill, I love it! The snowfall down the fretboard is perfect, and even the color of the rosette looks wintery. I think your execution is superb, but if you ever tire of that, you could simply hire yourself out as an idea man. That is SO clever. Steve |

Absolutely incredible again. I thought the snowflake rosette looked nice but this is unique and over the top. Your composition ideas are just awesome. ![]() |

Really Nice Bill. Cool very cool. One question. Is this a fretless acoustic? Grin, just had to rattle your cage a little. |

That's absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful execution! A tip on photographs (because I noticed when saving 'em): GIF is good for things with few colours, like graphics or banners. JPG is far better suited to actual photographs. |

This is a great theme ... Will you be able to "display" all 4 together when complete? I remember the fall guitar, that was awesome too. What's in store for the spring ... OK I can wait. Did you do summer yet? Next theme? Zodiak? How bout the alphabet, that would only be 26 guitars to crank out. ![]() Great work. |

Bill, fantastic job! I like the lightly striped ebony, it looks just like a northern Norway winter sky at noon! |

thanks for the kind words. I picked that piece of ebony because of the stripes....I looked for one with the stripes going the other direction but just could not find any ![]() ![]() |

JohnO's question got me thinking. You remember, the one about "what's next". Alphabets would be an interesting subject--if they were the Hebrew alphabet. Or how about a guitar for every country? If that's too ambitious, perhaps a guitar per continent? So little time.... Steve |

Are you going to put a couple flecks of snowflakes in between the bottom of the branches and the snow on the ground...it all looks great but stylistically with the density of the snowflakes above it leaves a little too much negative space (too much black) between the bottom of the branches and the ground...it doesnt have to be much, just enough to break up the dark area between the two. Very nice...I cant wait to see the whole series. |
